Pastel Making Workshop with Linda Delandre

Pastel Making Workshop- All ages over 12, all experience levels of art welcome!

Learn to make pastels out of old “bits” and jars of pure color using a “secret” professional formula. We have fun working together to make pastels that are high in quality, and unique in colors you won’t find in cheaper, student grade sets.

Included in the class price are all the ingredients to make pastels. Our goal would be about  20-25 each.  At a retail cost of about $4-5. Each for these types of pastels, you will have a nice selection for about half of what you pay at art supply catalogs. We grind the old bits and mix the special formula to an icing like consistency, then roll and cut them. You take your share home to dry for at least a week before you can use them.

$50.00 for a 9am to 2pm day, with anytime breaks.

Minimum 6 people, max 15.

Masks required due to the materials.

Bring an apron, and a small shirt box (like a gift box) or a plastic food storage boxes (lasagna type) lined with paper towels. Even a disposable aluminum small roasting pan or lasagna pan will work .

How to get to the WAL Studio at 701 Sawdust Rd.

You will see a strip center to the right of Hobby Lobby. To the left of the strip center is a blue and silver building. To the left of that building, you will see a silver two-story building. WAL is in the silver building, and our entrance is on the right side of the building.
