In this class you will learn how to paint with soft pastels without having to purchase expensive materials and supplies.  We will cover all related topics, such as drawing, composition, color theory,  and much more as we work. This class is suitable for beginners and intermediate level students. We will start with simple sketches to learn how to apply pastels and progress to more complex paintings.

Each student will be provided with a professional pastel paper and a limited palette of hard and soft pastels during each class. You are welcome to bring your own supplies that you are comfortable working with. We will work on some projects together, using the instructor’s references, and on individual projects of your choice based on your own interest in a subject matter. I will help you every step on the way. The objective for this class is that each student enjoys creativity and self-expression and develops his or her own style.

The class is offered on Thursday mornings, the cost of the class includes 2 (two) 2-hour classes. If you miss the class, please request a make-up lesson, there will be no refunds for missed classes.  To be eligible for the make-up class, you will need to notify the instructor of your absence before the class.

December 3rd and 10th from 10:00 am till 12:00 pm.

Cost $90 for WAL members or $110 for nonmembers.

If you have any questions, please contact Tetyana at taniadima@hotmail.com.
