Nora Rule Barber
The essence of my work is joy! I observe the world around me, then, draw, paint, or sculpt whatever leaves an impression on my heart or mind. Nature and all that is related is where I find most of my inspiration. The right image in the right place can create a positive emotion every time you are in its presence. That is what I aim to do with my work. I create art as a visual message to communicate my appreciation, gratitude, love of life, and God’s creation.
My current work is a group of oil paintings that follow the subject of Birds. They are so much a part of our environment that they can be overlooked. When we really look and listen, they are a source of great beauty, peace, character, and amusement.
