Basic Jewelry Techniques- Designing
New From Old
Instructor: Shailja Kumar
In this fast and fun workshops you will learn the basics of making jewelry- and how to make simple repairs to your broken pieces!
Missing pieces? Too damaged? Shailja will show you how to disassemble the old, perhaps add something new, and make an entire new showpiece. Change out a pendant, repair that clasp, tighten a too-loose bracelet! This one class can save you hundreds when you learn to repair rather than replace!
Bring several old pieces, any odds and ends of beads, charms, chain that you may have bought for projects...or those unfinished projects themselves to the class. Some material...jump rings, simple clasps, wire for wire wrapping... will be provided. Bring specialty findings you may wish to use. Email the instructor for details!
